Miley Cyrus lights a dubious hand rolled cigarette as she and Katy Perry lead the winners at the MTV EMA awards
One Direction were the evening’s biggest winners with two awards, but their thunder was stolen in controversial fashion by Miley Cyrus, whose latest onstage attempt at distancing herself from Hannah Montana saw her light a very suspicious looking cigarette. The 20-year-old singer had already turned heads when she opened 2013 MTV Europe Video Music Awards with a twerk heavy performance of We Can’t Stop.
Dressed in silver spandex, Miley danced with a female dwarf before finishing the performance with her trademark lolling tongue - a move that mirrored her performance with Robin Thicke at the MTV Video Music Awards in August.
